Creating Interactive Avatars
Creating and deploying interactive avatars could not be easierEasy 2-Step Process:
Step 1. Sign up or log into your account
Please sign up, or log in if you already have an account.
Step 2. Create an interactive avatar
After logging in you will be directed to the Avatar Creator dashboard. Here, you will see grids of four different types of ready-made avatar to choose from. Select an avatar and click the green CREATE AVATAR button which becomes available once you have selected an avatar. You have now created your first interactive avatar. It will be automatically selected in the left hand panel and ready for configuring by clicking the EDIT button.
Here’s a quick video:
Configuring avatars
By default, freshly created avatars come with a default name, avatar photo and background image, video or 3D environment. They are also configured to echo back everything you say. To edit your avatar’s environment, select the ENVIRONMENT tab once you are in edit mode and choose from a range of ready-made background images, videos and 3D environments, or you can upload your own. To make your avatar more useful, select the BRAIN tab to view the available AI engines, Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech options. AI engines can be LLMs, REST Endpoints or Google’s DialogFlow services.
A useful, ‘more information’ box appears in the top right of the dashboard whenever an input field is selected, whilst an interactive helper avatar that you can speak with to find answers to your questions is available in the bottom right hand corner of the dashboard.
The helper avatar is replaced with your own avatar when you are editing it. Whenever you make a configurational change and click the SAVE button, you will be able to connect to the avatar you are editing in the bottom right hand corner of the dashboard to check that it is working as desired. Alternatively, you can click the CONNECT button in the left hand panel to see how your avatar appears when occupying a full browser window.
Once you are happy with how your avatar operates, you can copy the iFrame code needed to embed it in 3rd party websites from the dashboard. You can also edit the JSON file used to control your avatar’s behaviour with advanced features, as well as configuring the appearance of the default client in which your avatar appears.
Check the Dashboard page for a more in-depth video look at dashboard capabilities.
